Stone is a life long artist and teacher currently living in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Stone's career in art formally began with a B.A. and Teaching Certification from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. For two decades, Jennifer followed her passion, teaching art to children in public schools in New York and New Jersey. She draws her inspiration from her time with young students, citing, "My kindergarten students will always be my favorite inspiration. They taught me how to enjoy creating art without worrying about the rules, if a purple sun was proper or correct". Her favorite quote is from Picasso: "All children are artists, the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up".
Stone moved to the South Carolina Lowcountry with her husband in 2017. Locally she has exhibited her work at the University of South Carolina, Hilton Head Art League, the Maye River Gallery in Bluffton, SC and Roots Up Gallery in Savannah, GA. She has won numerous awards and has had many group and solo exhibits. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the country.
Stone's art was featured in "Pursuing Justice through Art" at the Whistler House Museum of Art in 2015.
